JEE Main Paper Analysis 2018

Here are the solutions and an analysis for the JEE Main 2018 paper, held on 8th April, decoded by the experts.

The paper was of average difficulty level. The pattern of the paper was similar to past years’ papers. If we compare different sections, it is evident that questions from Physics section were the toughest. Maximum questions in Physics were asked from Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism. Chemistry section was moderately difficult, with questions from Physical Chemistry covering the major portion. Mathematics section was slightly on the easier side, with maximum questions being asked from Coordinate Geometry. Although some students might have found the Chemistry section a bit lengthy, the overall length of the paper was moderate, making it not harder to complete the paper on time.
