JEE Advanced 2018- IIT Kanpur is the organizing institute of JEE (Advanced) 2018. The JEE Advanced Exam is scheduled to be held on May 20, 2018. This year, the exam will be conducted in the online mode. It consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, which will be held in two different sessions. Paper 1 will be held in the Morning session from 09:00 IST to 12:00 IST and Paper 2 will be conducted in Evening Session from 14:00 IST to 17:00 IST. Both papers are mandatory wherein each paper will be of three hours’ duration. Top 2,24,000 (including all categories) candidates who will score good marks in Paper-1 of JEE (Main)-2018 are eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced 2018. The online registration for the same will be commenced on 02 May 2018 till 07 May 2018. IITs conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced), every year. Candidate’s performance will be evaluated to grant admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs offered by IITs. JAB will take the final decision for selecting the most eligible candidates to offer admission.

There are five basic eligibility criteria to appear in JEE Advanced 2018 that candidates have to fulfil in order to get selected for one of the IITs

JEE Advanced 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Criterion 1- Top qualifiers of JEE Main 2018 will be called to appear in JEE Advanced 2018. It is the initial level criterion as candidates can’t take the JEE Advanced without qualifying JEE Main Examination. Top “2,24,000” candidates will be called for appearing in the examination

Criterion 2 – Age limit

Candidates must be born on or after 01 October 1993. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD category can avail the 05 years of relaxation, i.e., they should have been born on or after 01 October 1988.

Criterion 3 – Number of attempts

Candidates can appear in JEE (Advanced) for a maximum of 02 times in consecutive years.

Criterion 4 – Qualifying examination

Candidates should have qualified the Class XII (or equivalent) exam in either 2017 or 2018. Make sure you have qualified the exam in the first attempt.

JEE Advanced 2018 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for the JEE Advanced 2018 is mentioned below. It is estimated that the test pattern may be changed a bit as the examination mode has been changed completely. Now, the exam will be held in online mode only.

  • The examination will be completed in 2 parts i.e. Paper I and Paper II. Both papers are mandatory.
  • The duration of a paper is 03 hours.
  • Both Paper I and Paper II will contain questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • JEE Advanced 2018 is expected to have full marking, partial marking, zero marking and negative marking.

JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form

IIT Kanpur will release the online JEE Advanced 2018 application form on 02 May 2018. The registration process will only be activated for 06 days i.e till 07 May 2018. Hence, candidates have to submit the form as early as possible. With late fee, candidates can submit the application till 08 May 2018. Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before filling the application forms. Alongside, candidates have to submit the below mentioned application fee as well.
