IIT Kanpur has released the online application form of JEE Advanced 2018 for JEE Main qualified candidates. Last Date of JEE Advanced 2018 application form/registration was 7-May-2018. The registration process for foreign candidates commenced from April 18. Only those candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2018 are eligible to fill the application form of JEE Advanced 2018.

To fill JEE Advanced application form 2018, candidates had to get registered on the online registration portal and then log-in to fill required details. Candidates can log in using their JEE Main password and roll number. Candidates also have to pay the application fee and upload all relevant documents in the prescribed format. In an earlier notification, the exam conducting body implemented GST for the admission year 2018-19. However, in a subsequent press release dated February 15, the body announced that the GST has been withdrawn.

How to fill JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form?

The registration/ application form of JEE Advanced 2018 has to be filled in online mode. Candidates need to go through the followings steps to fill the application form of JEE Advanced 2018:

  • Step 1 – Registration
  • Step 2 – Uploading of Scanned Documents
  • Step 3 – Payment of Registration Fees
  • Step 4 – Printing of Confirmation Page

Step 1 – JEE Advanced 2018 Registration

  • Click on Registration link (it will be updated on this page once it is available)
  • Go through all the instructions displayed on the screen carefully
  • Log-in to the registration portal using:
    • JEE Main 2018 Roll Number and password
    • Enter the security pin
  • Upon successfully logging in, details entered by the candidate at the time of JEE Main 2018 registration like academic, personal and contact details will be displayed on the screen in read-only mode.
  • The registration form of JEE Advanced 2018 will have additional fields that the candidate has to fill in like:
    • Language of the question paper (English or Hindi)
    • Exam centre (the candidate can opt for a maximum of five centres)
    • Total Number of attempts, etc.
  • The candidate will also be allowed to register two additional mobile numbers apart from the one entered at the time of filling the JEE Advanced 2018 registration. The result of JEE Advanced 2018 will be sent to any of these numbers.

Note: Before filling the JEE Advanced 2018 application form, the candidate needs to ensure he/she meets all the prescribed five eligibility criteria. Or else, the registration of the candidate may be cancelled at any later date.

Instructions related to JEE Advanced 2018 password:

The candidate must choose such a password that will protect all sensitive data shared by the candidate and JEE Advanced body. Here are some rules for setting a strong password.

  • The password should have between 8 to 13 characters, and be a combination of one Upper case alphabet, one Lower case alphabet, one numeric value and one special character like [email protected]#$%^&*­
  • The candidate is cautioned against sharing the password with any other person.

Candidates are allowed to reset their password if they want. To reset a password, the following steps must be followed.

How to reset JEE Advanced 2018 password:

  • By answering the Security Question candidate has chosen at time of registration.
  • By entering the verification code sent to the candidate’s Registered Mobile No.
  • Using the reset link sent to your Registered Email address.

Step 2 – Uploading of Scanned Documents

After the candidate has duly entered all the essential information in the JEE Advanced application form 2018, the next step is to upload scanned images of the following documents:

Scanned Certificates to be Uploaded:

  • Certificates of Class X as proof of birth or Birth Certificate
  • Class XII (or equivalent) examination
  • Category
  • PwD
  • Scribe Request Letter
  • PIO Card / OCI Certificate
  • DS certificate
  • Gazette notification showing name change ( only by candidates whose name is not same as in Class X certificate)

Documents to be uploaded by candidates belonging to Reserved Category

Dyslexic candidate must submit FORM-DYSLEXIC 1 and 2 instead of FORM-PwD issued by a doctor specializing in psychiatry and associated with the RCI/Dyslexia Associations. The certificate must mention ‘SEVERE’ so that the candidate is considered under PwD category.

5 DS category Certificate (FORM-DS) issued by a competent authority in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi under the Ministry of Defence or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.

Step 3 – Payment of JEE Advanced Registration Fees

The registration fee of JEE Advanced 2018 is different for candidate belonging to different categories. So, before proceeding to fee payment, candidates need to know the category they belong to. Candidates can check the category-wise fee, and also applicable late fee, in the table below.

Mode of Payment: Candidates can choose from any of the two options to pay the JEE Advanced registration fee:

  1. Payment by Debit Card/Credit Card Internet Banking: Clicking on “Pay Registration Fee” option will redirect the candidate to State Bank Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page. The candidate may choose from any of the available options like Debit Card/ Credit Card, Internet Banking, to make the payment. Upon successful payment, a unique registration number will be generated. The candidate needs to get a print of the unique number along with the “Registration Details”.
  • Payment by CASH using SBI Branch Option: Click on “Pay Registration Fee” to access MOPS page. To make cash payment, select “SBI Branch” to generate the challan. The candidate can make the payment using a printout of the challan at any SBI branch by making the cash payment. After the payment, the candidate has to enter the payment details to generate unique registration number. Take printout of the “Registration Details” along with unique number.

Step 4 – Printing of Confirmation Page

After payment has been made, the candidate has to submit the JEE Advanced 2018 application form and take a printout of the confirmation page.
